GDRI « Cultural Heritage and Art Law »

The Art-Law Centre is part of an international research network active in various scientific programs. This network forms an International Research Group (Groupe international de recherche – GDRI) in “Cultural Heritage Law and Art Law”. The GDRI was created by the Research Center on “Cultural Heritage Law” (CECOJI / CNRS / Université de Poitiers) and is conducted under the supervision of Jérôme Fromageau and Marie Cornu.

As the Swiss representatives of the GDRI Research group on « Cultural Heritage Law and Art Law”, the Art-Law Centre has participated at numerous symposiums. In particular, it has contributed to a comparative law research on the illicit traffic of cultural property (« Etude de droit comparé sur le trafic illicite des biens culturels »). This research has lead to the development of a Swiss national report and comparative law studies by the members of the Swiss representatives:

The Art-Law Center is currently involved in the creation of a Comparative Law Dictionary (notably, entries on Swiss Law and comparatives studies) on Cultural Heritage (publication expected in 2011).
